Billie Eilish might not know who Van Halen is but they sure know her.

After the 17-year-old singer admitted to having no clue who the iconic rock band was, Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of Eddie Van Halen, is speaking out and even laughing the diss off.

“If you haven’t heard of Billie Eilish, go check her out. She’s cool,” he tweeted. “If you haven’t heard of Van Halen, go check them out. They’re cool, too. Music is supposed to bring us together, not divide us.”

He added, “Listen to what you want and don’t shame others for not knowing what you like.”

As Rolling Stone pointed out, Eilish, 17, was only 13 when the band played their most recent concert and only 10 when they put out their last album 2012’s A Different Kind of Truth.

Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren also spoke on behalf of Eilish when she appeared on Wednesday’s “The Tonight Show”. Warren was being quizzed by host Jimmy Fallon when he asked her thoughts on the matter.

“Do you know who Van Halen is?” Fallon asked.

“Yes, but you don’t have to,” Warren responded. “Let’s ease up on Billie.”
