Meghan McCain Once Received A Personal ‘The Apprentice’ Request From Donald Trump

Meghan McCain had no interest in being part of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice”.

“The View” co-host told People that she received multiple requests to appear on the reality competition. In one instant, the U.S. President personally left McCain a voice message.

“I was asked to be on ‘The Apprentice’ several times and said no,” McCain said. “He [Trump] left a voice message and I didn’t call back. I didn’t want to be an Apprentice. Like, the whole thing, I didn’t like all of it.”

The request took place sometime after 2009. The show simply was not McCain’s cup of tea.

“I thought it was a dumb show,” Meghan, 35, says. “No offence… my dear close friend Clay Aiken came in second, so I shouldn’t talk too much s**t about it.”

“The Apprentice” began in 2004 as a show filled with hopeful entrepreneurs. In later years it shifted its focus to celebrity contestants.
