People magazine has announced its 2019 People of the Year and this year’s honour is split between Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Michelle Obama and Taylor Swift.
The powerful ladies nabbed the title due to the huge impact they’ve had on the world during the final 365 days of the decade.
Swift shares of the honour, referencing her latest album Lover: “This is the first time I’ve been able to put out music that I feel is connecting with people, yet look back on everything I’ve made and feel a quiet sense of pride.”
“I’m proud of the things I’ve withstood, and I’ve been able to carve out a life for myself,” she reveals.
JLo nabbed the 2020 Super Bowl halftime gig, among numerous other achievements, including her buzzed about role in “Hustlers”, this year.
“It just shows you that dreams come true. But you have to work at it and not give up. The key is the not giving up part. For me, it’s not a choice. You can’t stop,” she says. “When you find you, really find you, that’s when everything starts falling into place.”
And what has 2019 taught Aniston about herself? “How much I’m capable of. The words, ‘I dare you’ or ‘No’ always make me kind of go, ‘Oh, okay. Well, let’s just see.’”
