Idina Menzel On Working With Ariana Grande, Why She Hasn’t Seen ‘Frozen’ Onstage And More

Idina Menzel stopped by SiriusXM’s studios this week, where she had a candid chat with “Radio Andy” host Andy Cohen to promote her new holiday album Christmas: A Season of Love.

Menzel and Cohen covered a lot of ground during their conversation, with the “Frozen II” discussing what it was like to duet with Ariana Grande for a track on the album, and her tendency to fall in love while performing onstage.

As Menzel tells Cohen, she met Grande when they at the 15th anniversary “Wicked” concert, and enlisted her to sing the “feminist Christmas song” “A Hand for Mrs. Claus” in order to add some “girl power.”

In another part of their chat, Menzel discusses her tendency to fall in love onstage, revealing that she met both current spouse Aaron Lohr and ex-husband Taye Diggs while performing onstage.

In addition, the also reveals why she has yet to see the live stage musical version of “Frozen” on Broadway.
