The Weeknd has never been one to follow the crowd.
In an appearance on Thursday’s “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”, the singer performed his latest single “Heartless”. However, instead of taking to the stage to sing as one normally would, Abel Tesfaye made the entire studio his stage.
In the clip, the Weeknd strolls through the hallways of the studio while holding a drink and singing in to a bright red microphone. He eventually make his way to the main stage but not until he’s finished the song.
“There you are,” Colbert says as the audience cheers.
The song dropped last week alongside another single called “Blinding Lights”.
The Weeknd also released the music video for “Heartless” earlier this week, which features the artist gambling in Las Vegas.
