Another week, another set of celebrities have joined Jane Fonda for Fire Drill Fridays.
For the ninth week that Fonda protested climate change on Capitol Hill, “Orange Is The New Black” star Taylor Schilling and Kyra Sedgwick joined her.
During Friday’s protest, the entrance to financier BlackRock was blocked. According to Fire Drill Fridays Twitter account, the company funds oil drilling, coal power plants and palm oil plantations.
Sedgwick later thanked Fonda for inviting her along. “Felt great to be part of the alarm bells that MUST be rung,” she added.
Fonda has said she will continue to be at the weekly protests until January, when filming for “Grace & Frankie” resumes.
The star along with many others have been arrested in past weeks, but this time they went unscathed.
“It feels good to be arrested for civil disobedience,” Fonda previously said.
