Kristin Chenoweth Emotionally Recalls The First Time She Met Her Birth Mother, ‘You’re That Girl’

Kristin Chenoweth was put up for adoption at birth, it wasn’t until later in life she decided to go looking for her birth mother.

While on Katie Couric’s YouTube channel, the Broadway star and actress emotionally recalled the first time she met her biological mother.

“No one knows this, but when I walked in the door, she said, ‘You’re that girl?!’” Chenoweth recalled.

“She had seen me on ‘The Tonight Show’ ten years prior. Her uncle had said, ‘Lynn, there’s a girl on there that acts just like you,’” she added. “She’s incredible. An incredible person. And when I met her she said, ‘Can you ever forgive me?’ And I said, ‘Forgive you? You gave me life. And my parents Junie and Jerry gave me a life. The chance at a life.’ And I’m so grateful for her.”

Chenoweth also spoke about her new album For The Girls and Hallmark movie “A Christmas Love Story.”
