Bette Midler is on the receiving end of some major backlash over a mildly snarky tweet she sent out on Sunday.

The Divine Miss M ruffled feathers when she shared a photo of three teenage girls sitting on a bench in the middle of an art gallery, all staring at the screens of their phones while seemingly oblivious to the works of art surrounding them.

“What’s wrong with this picture?” Midler asked.

While some Twitter users agreed with the point she was trying to make, many more took her to task for shaming the girls.

Among her critics: U.K. TV host Piers Morgan, who dialled up the snark for his response.
