Lil Nas X Opens About His Sudden Fame And Coping With Haters: ‘Subconsciously It Eats Away At Me’

Lis Nas X is among the many members of the hip-hop community mourning the tragic loss of rapper Juice WRLD, who passed away Sunday at age 21.

The “Old Town Road” rapper, 20, took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

Contemplating the unexpected death of Juice WRLD clearly placed Lil Nas X in a reflective mood. Two hours later, he returned to Twitter with a rumination on fame and how he’s struggled with it.

“i usually deal with my sad times in private because i don’t like for my fans or family to feel sorry for me. this year had a lot of very high ups and extremely low downs. when u get to that hotel room and it’s just you, you do a lot of thinking. small things become so BIG,” he wrote in one tweet, following up with a second.

“i like to pretend hate and s**t don’t get to me, but subconsciously it eats away at me,” he added. “feeling like u have the world and knowing it can all go away at any time is scary. with all this being said i want anybody who cared enough to read this to just live in the moment. love u guys.
