Twitter has released its annual data of most mentioned Canadian accounts.

There are few surprises in the categories spanning the music and entertainment world.

Shawn Mendes is the most mentioned male musician followed by Justin Bieber, Drake, Sebastian Javier and The Weeknd.

The most mentioned female artist goes to Alessia Cara followed by Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, Carly Rae Jepsen and Grimes.

As for musicians in general, the list starts with Zeds Dead, then Nickleback, Tegan and Sara, Arkells and Loud Luxury.

Ryan Reynolds is the most mentioned male actor followed by Seth Rogen, Stephen Amell, Finn Wolfhard and Mena Massoud.

Since 2016, Reynolds has held the top spot except for in 2017 when the honour went to Seth Rogen.

Sandra Oh holds the No. 1 spot taking over from Shay Mitchell who had the honour for the three years previous.

The “Killing Eve” star is followed by Ellen Page, Stana Katic, Nina Dobrev and Mitchell.

The TV shows that Canadians loved to talk about the most included “Game of Thrones”, “Saturday Night Live”, “Stranger Things”, “The Simpsons” and “Schitt’s Creek”.

Over on the big screen, sci-fi took all five spots. The list is: “The Avengers: Endgame”, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, “Captain Marvel”, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and “Joker”.
