Carey Mulligan is the ultimate femme fatale in the upcoming thriller “Promising Young Woman”.
In the brand new trailer, produced by Margot Robbie, the Oscar-nominated actress stars as Cassie, a woman destined to be a doctor when a mysterious event derails her lifetime dream. Cassie soon finds herself in a fit of revenge, visiting a new club every weekend where she acts like she’s “too drunk to stand” to allow men to take her home. There, she punishes them after they try to take advantage of her.
Emerald Fennell, who stars as Camilla Parker Bowles in Netflix’s “The Crown”, wrote and directed the upcoming feature with an all-star cast including Bo Burnham, Adam Brody, Laverne Cox, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chris Lowell, Sam Richardson, Molly Shannon and Clancy Brown.
After making its world premiere at the upcoming 2020 Sundance Film Festival, “Promising Young Woman” will hit big screens April 17.
