Jennifer Hudson joins Willie Geist for his “Sunday Sitdown” this weekend on “Today”, and the Oscar-winning “American Idol” alum shares some fascinating tidbits about her role in the new film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical “Cats”.
Chatting with Geist, Hudson reveals that she and the rest of the cast had to attend “the infamous cat school.”
That piqued Geist’s curiosity, and he asked her what takes place at cat school.

“We started out learning about cats, the characteristics of cats, and we would sniff around, literally,” she explains with a laugh.
“Closing our eyes and trusting our other senses and things like that, which makes you more cat-like. That was part of the exercise,” she says, telling Geist, “You should try it. Close your eyes and sniff like a cat and let your nose be the lead.”
