The members of NSYNC are dishing on the infamous scandal involving their manager Lou Pearlman.
Pearlman was a record producer who discovered and managed both NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. This story of two boy bands is the focus of a new ABC News “Nightline” special.

NSYNC members Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick dished on the music producer-turned-Ponzi schemer.
“I was in the biggest band in the world and selling millions of records, but I can’t even afford my apartment in Orlando,” said Bass. The singer revealed that Pearlman was handing out $35-a-day per diems despite the band topping the charts.

Pearlman was accused of running one of the largest and longest-running Ponzi schemes in history with $300 million-plus in debt. He was accused in 2006 and eventually sentenced to up to 25 years in prison for conspiracy and money laundering, as well as another charge.
Pearlman died in federal custody from cardiac arrest in August 2016.
