More Celebrity Well-Wishes For Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie’s preventative battle against cancer is not over yet. In addition to her double mastectomy revelation in a New York Times Op-Ed  yesterday, according to People,  she’s also planning to have her her ovaries removed as a preventative measure.

“I hope that other women can benefit from my experience,”; is what Angelina said drove her make her public announcement. Now, her  friends in Hollywood have rallied together to commend the star’s courage in sharing her personal story.

In addition to Sharon Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic’s personal words of encouragement, celebrities are talking openly about her battle. At the ABC Upfronts, Modern Family star Ed O’Neill shared his personal admiration for her: “I worked with Angelina and I’m very close to her dad and I knew her mom – she’s very resilient and smart and I think she made that decision for her children, which is very courageous.”;

Meanwhile at the Star Trek Into Darkness premiere, Zoe Saldana said: “I admire her even more for being so brave for sharing something so intimate and personal with the world.”;

In her article, Angelina wrote, “I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.”; This quote in particular strikes a chord with many women including Victoria’s Secret’s Behati Prinsloo who told us, “I think people have a misconception about what is “sexy’ or perfection. I think it’s great [her coming out] and making people feel more comfortable with what’s going on in her life and knowing it’s not the end of the world.”;
