Sam Heughan Reveals Truth Behind Those ‘James Bond’ Rumours

Sam Heughan addressed those “James Bond” rumours during an appearance on Monday’s “Tonight Show”.

The “Outlander” star has long been linked to the role of 007 after Daniel Craig announced he’d be stepping down after the upcoming “No Time to Die”.

Despite the rumours though, Heughan insisted he hasn’t been approached by producers.

The actor told Fallon, “I can reveal right now that I am not James Bond.

“I’ve never heard. I’m waiting for the call… well, I haven’t been told I’m not [James Bond].”

Fallon also mentioned that William Shatner had been backing Heughan to play 007.

Meanwhile, Craig recently wrapped filming on his fifth and final “Bond” film, which hits theatres in April 2020. Watch the trailer below.
