Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson are toasting the end of another season of “The Voice”.
Ahead of the show’s two-night finale, Shelton joined his fellow “Voice” coach on Monday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” to trade predictions while sipping Shelton’s Smithworks Vodka.
“Everyone knows I’m gonna win,” pipes Clarkson while pouring a shot. “Most times drinking with you doesn’t end well with me but it’s fine.”
Clarkson’s Jake Hoot and Shelton’s Ricky Duran remain in the top 4 of the hit NBC singing competition ahead of Tuesday’s results episode, but it didn’t take long for Shelton to take a dig at his fellow coach, telling her, “I’m amazed that Jake has made it this far with the worst coach in the history of the show.”
Clarkson was quick to respond, telling Shelton, “Yeah, he made it all the way to the finale cuz I’m horrible.”
Later in the show, the “God’s Country” singer took matters into his own hands to upgrade Clarkson’s talk show game setup, gifting her a new light-up podium featuring a better buzzer, cup holders, rearview mirrors, and Shelton’s favourite part — a poster with his face on it that reads “Blake is awesome.”
