Harry Styles covering Lizzo is music to our ears.
The English heartthrob covered superstar Lizzo’s track “Juice” while visiting BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge on Wednesday and he looked good doing it.
Styles delivered a clean version of the song while switching out some of the words to the names of those who are close to him. The word “b****” was changed to “Mitch,” as a shout-out to his guitarist Mitch Rowland. He also called upon his manager Jeffrey Azoff, replacing “David” in the lyric, “David, you ain’t bein’ slick/Don’t dare try to cop a feel.”
During his interview, the singer/songwriter discussed spoke highly of Lizzo.
“I just think she’s amazing; she’s one of the most exciting artists working now, for sure. She’s exactly what you want an artist to be, which is themselves.”
Lizzo heard about the praise because if Harry Styles mentions your name it’s a pretty big deal. She wrote on her Instagram Story, “This is so cute,” and she also responded on Twitter.
Styles also got into the holiday spirit with his take on Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmas Time”. He even sang a couple of new songs from his album Fine Line, released last Friday.
