He-Man is making a comeback with a brand new CG animated reboot coming to Netflix.

On Wednesday, the streaming service and Mattel Television announced they will be recreating the ’80s cartoon “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”, Deadline reported.

“On the planet of Eternia, a young lost prince discovers the powers of Grayskull and transforms into He-Man, Master of the Universe!” the official longline reads. “The classic battle between He-Man and evil Skeletor rages to new heights as both hero and villain forge new and mighty teams. A new generation of heroes fighting for the fate of us all. In the end, who will become Master of the Universe?”

The new series is separate from the previously announced 2D anime series “Masters of the Universe: Revelation”, also in production at Netflix from filmmaker Kevin Smith.

The original “He-Man” series, based on the Mattel toy line, ran from 1983 until 1985 and became a staple of Saturday morning TV.
