The new trailer for Guy Ritchie’s upcoming flick “The Gentlemen” has been unveiled.
Matthew McConaughey is among the star-studded cast, with the actor taking on the role of Mickey Pearson, an American expatriate who became rich by building a marijuana empire in London.
A synopsis continues, “When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes from those who want his fortune.”
McConaughey’s character says in the clip: “There once was a young and foolish dragon who came to ask a wise and cunning lion about acquiring his territory.
“Now the lion, he wasn’t interested, so he told the little dragon to [f**k off]. The dragon, he persisted. He started a war. So the lion took the little dragon for a walk and put five bullets in his little dragon head. There’s a message in there, maybe you can explain it to me.”
The likes of Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Grant, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan and Colin Farrell also star in the much-talked about film.
“The Gentlemen” hits theatres January 24, 2020.
