Mark Hamill is not one of the stars of Netflix’s new fantasy series “The Witcher” — at least not yet.
“The Witcher” — based on novels that were turned into a video game and is now a TV series — stars Henry Cavill (“Justice League”) as Geralt of Rivia, a medieval monster hunter shunned by human society.
Way back in 2018, when Netflix’s plans for a “Witcher” series were first announced, a fan tweeted that one of the book’s characters, Vesemir, would be a perfect fit for the “Star Wars” star.
At the time, Hamill issued a joking response, writing that while he had “no idea what this is or what it’s about,” he agreed that “it could/should be played by me.”
Now that the series has finally arrived, talk of Hamill playing Vesemir has resurfaced.
Responding in a tweet on Christmas Eve, Hamill admitted that “I still have no idea what this is or what it’s about, but I DO know they haven’t ever asked me to play Vesemir… yet,” followed by the hashtag #CallMyAgent.
While it’s not yet known whether the show’s producers are onboard with the idea, a sampling of response to Hamill’s latest tweet indicates that fans sure are.
