Lily Tomlin was arrested Friday during the latest climate change protest in Washington D.C.
The actress joined her “Grace And Frankie” co-star Jane Fonda’s weekly protests in the United States’ capital, something Fonda calls “Fire Drill Fridays”.
Fonda has been protesting weekly since announcing she was moving to Washington “to be closer to the epicentre of the fight for our climate.” Her demonstrations have ended in multiple arrests.
This week marks the 12th straight week of the climate protests. Fonda plans to lead “Fire Drill Fridays” until mid-January, when “Grace And Frankie” goes back into production.
Sally Field, Sam Waterston, Ted Danson, Diane Lane, Piper Perabo, Rosanna Arquette, Gloria Steinem, Casey Willson and 11-year-old actor Iain Armitage have all been arrested during “Fire Drill Fridays”.
Fonda avoided cuffs this week.
