Chris Hadfield wants the world to be more optimistic in 2020 – and he’s explaining how to make it possible.
The Canadian astronaut, who shares videos regularly on his YouTube page, launched “An Astronaut’s Guide To Optimism 2020” on Tuesday and it quickly gathered a lot of love, including some from fellow Canuck Ryan Reynolds.

“There are so many good and amazing things happening in the world, in amongst the noisy badness, that it’s worth taking a few minutes to notice them, celebrate them,” Hadfield wrote to YouTube under the six-minute clip.
He added, “Happy New Year, everyone!”

The positive message of Hadfield’s video caught the attention of Reynolds, who took to Twitter to write, “Love this!”
Just last week, Hadfield celebrated the holidays with a special reading of “Jewel in the Night”.
