2019 was an emotional year for Jazz Jennings.

In a new Instagram post, the reality star and LGBTQ activist, 19, showed off her “battle wounds” to tell fans about what the past year has meant to her.

“These are my scars on full display in #2019,” she captioned a series of pictures taken at the beach in a swimsuit.

She added, “I’m proud of my scars and love my body just the way it is. I call them my battle wounds because they signify the strength and perseverance it took to finally complete my transition ❤️ #decadechallenge.”

The post was quickly met with a lot of love from the trans community, trans “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Peppermint commented, “Work beauty! Body!” while Billie Lee of “Vanderpump Rules” added, “So strong! So beautiful! #goddess.” Isis King wrote, “Beauty.”

As documented in her TLC reality series “I Am Jazz”, Jennings will attend Harvard University this coming Fall.
