Nicolas Cage welcomed the new decade with a low key evening at a small pub, much to the delight of patrons.
The Oscar-winning actor rang in 2020 at a local watering hole in Somerset, England, happily posing for pictures behind the bar with pub-goers.
Cage’s New Year’s surprise wasn’t revealed until one of those present posted a picture of the star celebrating at the Tramways Social Club in Wells on Reddit.
After revealing Cage, 55, bought a round of drinks for everyone at the pub, Reddit poster Konick described the actor as “a total legend, cool dude,” adding he’s now a member of the Tramways club which charges £10 per year for membership.

Cage has owned a cottage in the area since 2006 and revealed he likes to spend the holidays in the UK.
“I usually spend the winter holidays here, Christmas and whatnot. But I think in a couple of years I’ll be spending more time here. I’m hopeful that I’ll be back here,” he revealed.
The star has previously spoken about his love of all things British.
“I am a self-confessed Anglophile. I love everything about England; the history, the people, the countryside, the culture – you name it I love it,” he told Somerset Life. “I love seeing places like Buckingham Palace and all those other fantastic buildings which are steeped in history and culture. I love the whole concept of the Royal Family.”
