Ashley Tisdale is spilling the tea on her worst on-screen kiss – Zac Efron.
The actress, who currently stars on Netflix’s “Merry Happy Whatever”, chatted with Elle Magazine about her least favourite lip lock from her long career.
But, according to Tisdale, Efron had a good excuse for his lack of smooching skills.
The “High School Musical” co-stars starred together on an 2006 episode of Tisdale’s Disney Channel series “The Suite Of Zach And Cody” where Efron guest-starred as Trevor who had to kiss Tisdale’s character, Maddie.
“I’ll tell you why it was the worst, OK?” she spilled, mentioning her longtime friend. “It’s the worst because I’m so close to him and he’s like my brother. At the time, he was used to acting on, like, Warner Bros, which is The CW, and we were on Disney Channel.”
At the time Efron, now 32, was starring in the drama “Summerland”.
“And so he, like, he tried kissing me with his tongue, and I was like, ‘Get away from me!’ I, like, closed my mouth so fast,” Tisdale continued. “I was like, ‘This is Disney Channel! We don’t kiss like that on Disney Channel!’ It’s just weird when you’re so close to somebody. We had already done [‘High School Musical’]. I had known him for years before. That is why it was the worst. It’s just [that] we’re just too close.”
Tisdale and Efron starred together in all three “High School Musical” movies.
