“Here’s To Never Growing Up”; might be Avril Lavigne’s latest hit, but with a upcoming trip down the aisle and her most complicated album set to hit shelves, Nylon“s latest cover girl is definitely making some mature moves. “Lyrically, I pushed myself to talk about different subjects I haven’t talked about before. I didn’t want to be so simple. I tried to really express myself and go deeper,”; she says of her work in her interview with the magazine, “I’m so transparent. If I’m not being myself, I won’t do well, and that goes for writing songs, work, relationships, everything.”;
Avril’s no-nonsense style can be seen in her writing and in her style, and for mag’s music issue, the singer shows off that tough-girl look she’s famous for. In the shots taken by photographer Brooke Nipar, Miss Punk Princess sports thick eyeliner, dark leather, and plenty of black in the pages and on the cover.
Something else the future Mrs.Chad Kroeger is open about is her connection with the Nickelback frontman: “He’s nice, and real, and kind. For me, it’s about having a connection on a deeper level. Be romantic!”;
