Given the mixed reviews for “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, fans became excited when an anonymous Reddit user claimed that loads of footage was shot that didn’t make it into the film’s final version, leading for a call for director J.J. Abrams to release an extended director’s cut that would include all that footage.

One of the film’s stars is now lending his voice to the chorus, with Dominic Monaghan revealing that there was indeed plenty of leftover footage that could be used.

“Like a lot of ‘Star Wars’ fans, I’m hoping there will be a director’s cut so we’ll get to see more and more of the stuff that was filmed,” the former “Lost” star told The Hollywood Reporter.

“I wasn’t there all the time, but even in the short time that I was there, there was so much stuff filmed that didn’t make it to the theatrical version,” he added. “Oh, man, there was so much stuff!”

Among that “stuff,” Monaghan divulged, is a battle scene featuring his character, Beaumont Kin, along with Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose and Billie Lourd’s Lieutenant Connix.

“Another thing that we will hopefully see at some point in the future is that in the final battle, Connix injures her leg,” Monaghan reveals. “Obviously, myself, Rose and Connix are exiting the battle, and Rose has a weapon. While Rose is busy doing stuff, I grab Connix’s arm and put it over my shoulder to make sure that all of us come back as unscathed as possible.”
