Sacha Baron Cohen has a bone to pick with the CEO of Facebook.
Presenting the nominated film “Jojo Rabbit” at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the actor began with a joke calling out Mark Zuckerberg for the content on his social media site.
“The hero of this next movie is a naive misguided child who spreads Nazi propaganda and only has imaginary friends. His name is Mark Zuckerberg,” he said. “Sorry this is an old intro for the ‘The Social Network’.”
This isn’t the first time Cohen has publicly called out Zuckerberg for anti-Semitism on Facebook.
“Yes, some of my comedy, okay probably half my comedy, has been absolutely juvenile and the other half completely puerile. I’m just a comedian and an actor, not a scholar,” he said at the Anti-Defamation League’s Never Is Now Summit on Anti-Semitism. “But one thing is pretty clear to me. All this hate and violence is being facilitated by a handful of Internet companies that amount to the greatest propaganda machine in history.”
