Shawn Mendes is the latest star to aid Australia’s wildfire relief.
The Canadian cutie, 21, took to Twitter on Tuesday and announced the partnership between Shawn Mendes Foundation and the Australian Red Cross to help with the relief.
“Every time I’ve been to Australia I’ve fallen more in love with the people and wildlife,” he shared next to a photo of himself with a kangaroo. “Join me and support relief efforts for the devastating effects of the wildfires. ”
He added, “The @shawnfoundation and I are making donations to @RedCrossAU, NSW Rural Fire Service and SA Country Fire Service.”
The fires have burned through more than 11 million acres since starting in September. And according to the University of Sydney, half a billion total mammals, birds and reptiles have died.
Many celebs have taken to social media to offer their contributions. Singer Pink recently donated $500,000 to the cause.

I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bushfires. I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the frontlines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz ❤️
