Michael B. Jordan is an uncle now, and he’s loving every minute.
The “Just Mercy” star is on Wednesday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” and discusses his sister giving birth last month.
“I never knew I could love something so much that I’ve never met before,” Jordan says.
He also talks about getting to burp and feed the baby.
“He’s a different person when it’s time to eat, though,” Jordan laughs. “He goes from smiling to straight vicious.”
DeGeneres also brings up a picture that recently emerged of Jordan at his high school prom with a “childhood friend” Sandrine.
He then admits that he and Sandrine had a “love-hate relationship growing up.”
When DeGeneres asks whether she was his girlfriend at the time or just friends, Jordan teases, “Well, not my girlfriend but we were cool.”
After the host stares him down a little, he adds, “I’m not gonna… Yeah, we were friends.”
Finally, he admits that they were “friends with benefits,” laughing to DeGeneres, “You bring this out of me.”
Also on the show, Jordan and DeGeneres are joined by real-life activist attorney Bryan Stevenson, whom the actor portrays in “Just Mercy”.
Together they discuss inequality in the American justice system, and DeGeneres surprises Stevenson with a $50,000 donation to his Equal Justice Initiative.
