Greta Gerwig Admits She ‘Ate So Many People’s Soups’ At The Golden Globes After Being The First To Arrive

Greta Gerwig revealed there were some perks to arriving at the Golden Globes early.

A photo has been doing the rounds online showing the director sat by herself at the ceremony.

Gerwig then told Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday that because she didn’t get nominated, she headed into the venue while her partner Noah Baumbach did press for the movie he was nominated for, “Marriage Story”.

The filmmaker told Kimmel how she spent the time dodging members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

She shared, “They all were like, ‘We voted for you,’ and I was like, ‘Well, you didn’t because I didn’t get nominated. So, maybe one of you did, but it’s not possible that all of you did.’”

Gerwig then added, “I ate so many people’s soups because they were gonna take them away before people arrived and I was like, ‘I gotta eat all this soup!’ It’s a problem.”
