Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly travelled to England solo following the recent palace shakeup.
According to People magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their son Archie, 8 months, with a friend while they headed home to deal with the aftermath of their announcement that they would split their time between the UK and Canada.
Sky News has since confirmed a spokesperson told them Meghan had returned to Canada to be with Archie.
During their short stop in London, the couple made an appearance at Canada House on Tuesday to thank the country for hosting them during the holidays.
It was rumoured Archie was staying with Markle’s BFF Jessica Mulroney, but Sky News claimed he was with a nanny.
The Daily Mail was the first to report that Markle was currently on her way back to Canada to be with the little one. ET Canada can confirm that Harry is set to follow his wife early next week.
This week Harry and Meghan took to their official Instagram page to make their big announcement, “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.”
They continued, “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.”
