‘Jeopardy!’ Champ James Holzhauer Throws Away Points To Pay Tribute To Alex Trebek

Alex Trebek really is the greatest game-show host.

On Night 3 of the ongoing “Jeopardy!: Greatest of All Time” competition, contestant James Holzhauer paid tribute to the iconic TV host in the best way, People reported.

The contestants were presented with the answer, “These 2 foreign-born directors have each won 2 best director Oscars, but none of their films has won best picture.”

Holzhauer wrote, “Who is the GHOST? (greatest host of syndicated TV)?” He added, jokingly “Pat Sajak,” but crossed it out to write Trebek’s name.

“I wish you had risked more points!” Trebek responded.

The answer stumped all three contestants: “Who are Ang Lee and Alfonso Cuaron?”

Meanwhile, Ken Jennings came away the victor on Night 3, bringing his total wins up to two, with Holzhauer at one, and Brad Rutter in last place.
