Seth MacFarlane is leaving his longtime home at 20th Century Fox for greener pastures.
The “Family Guy” creator has inked a $200 million deal with NBCUniversal to create new projects for all platforms. MacFarlane’s touches will be seen on broadcast, cable and streaming content, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The deal is said to include a signing bonus and an overhead for MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions.
The new deal also means MacFarlane will continue working on his longtime animated series “Family Guy” for NBCUniversal. “Family Guy” has been under the 20th Century Fox banner since its premiere in Jan. 1999.
MacFarlane’s overall deal with 20th Century Fox expired in summer 2019.
