Vince Vaughn’s hangout with Donald Trump on Monday has Twitter split.
The actor took in the College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Clemson and LSU, and was spotted chatting, laughing and even high-fiving the U.S. President.
In a video that was uploaded by Timothy Burke, the pair are seen seemingly bonding over the game, “I’m very sorry to have to share this video with you. All of it, every part of it.”
But Twitter quickly filled up with reaction and some condemned Vaughn:
While others celebrated his positivity:
Similar events took place last year when Ellen DeGeneres was spotted sitting next to former President George W. Bush at a Dallas Cowboys game.
The backlash against DeGeneres led her to defend her friendship with Bush on an episode of her daytime talk show. “I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have,” she argued. “We’re all different and I think we’ve forgotten that that’s okay.”
ET Canada has reached out to Vaughn’s rep for comment.
