Mandy Moore has lots of new music on the way.
Moore has officially announced her new album, Silver Landings, and its release date of March 6. To celebrate, Moore also put on a single called “Save a Little For Yourself” and its accompanying music video.
“Sometimes writing a song feels like giving myself the advice I know I need the most and it’s often the hardest to heed,” she said of the new single in a statement published by JustJared. “It makes the song almost a mantra of sorts — something I know I’ll continue learning because it bears repeating.”
“‘Save a Little for Yourself‘ is sort of the other half of a love song that we don’t always talk about or acknowledge,” Moore continued. “Sure, we should open ourselves up, let people in and love them as wholly as possible but none of that carries any water if we’re not taking care of ourselves first and foremost. It might not be as romantic, but it’s an equally important part of the equation.”
Silver Landings will contain 10-tracks, including “I’d Rather Lose” and “When I Wasn’t Watching”. It is Moore’s first album in 11 years.
The news of Moore’s new full-length project comes after her “This Is Us” co-star Chrissy Metz signed a record deal with Universal Nashville. Metz will also release a full-length studio album in 2020.
