The war of words between Wendy Williams and Howard Stern rages on.
Williams dedicated Tuesday’s episode of her “Hot Topics” segment to Stern. More specifically, disparaging remarks Stern made on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM show.
“No offence to Wendy Williams, but they put Wendy Williams in before me,” he said of her 2011 induction into the Radio Hall of Fame. Stern was inducted one year later.
“Don’t hate on me because I got in before you,” Williams replied on Tuesday. “And one more thing – I know the only reason I got in – and listen closely – is that I had a new talk show,” she said. “I went from radio, successfully, to TV with my own show – you haven’t done that.”
Williams continued to take jabs at Stern’s brushes with television programming.
“‘America’s Got Talent’ was already successful, you were part of an ensemble when you got there,” Williams argued. “You know, that E! thing, that was E Entertainment, they weren’t even established.”
Over the years, Stern has had syndicated variety shows and his radio show broadcasted on E! for a time. He also had a brief-lived series of shows for Fox in 1987; and “The Howard Stern Interview” on E! from 1992-1993.
