Drake had Kawhi Leonard covered while the latter planned his move from the Toronto Raptors to the Los Angeles Clippers.
NBA star Paul George revealed to ESPN‘s Ramona Shelburne how he and Leonard would meet up at Drake’s California home to talk business.
“There were countless text messages and phone calls and then two in-person meetings at Drake’s house in Hidden Hills, California,” the article read.
It all started when George contacted Leonard to congratulate him on the Raptors NBA championship win.
“It was congratulating him on winning,” George shared. “That’s how it started… then it took on a life of its own.”
Ultimately, Leonard left the Raptors for the Clippers and a three-year, $103-million contract.
