Sam Waterston Tells ‘Ellen’ Guest Hosts Jane Fonda And Lily Tomlin How His Family Reacted To His Arrest

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are the latest guest hosts on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

The pair are joined by their “Grace and Frankie” co-stars Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, with the group discussing recently getting arrested for engaging in civil disobedience.

All of them took part in Fonda’s Fire Drill Fridays. The actress has been protesting to help bring awareness to climate change.

Fonda tells the pair, “I’m so grateful.”

Waterston adds, “Martin only got arrested once, I got arrested twice.”

He then says of his family’s reaction to his arrest: “They liked it very much, they were very proud.”

Fonda and Tomlin also get arrested for chanting “Hey hey, ho ho, Jane and Lily are hosting the show!” to the audience.
