After letting fame pass him by, Michael Grimm is back for another shot.
On the new “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, the season 5 winner returned, and before taking the stage he opened up about his journey to the top and needing to step away.
“It all happened all at once,” he said. “It was big, it was quick, but it all came like a freight train. I was not prepared for that level of attention. I’m a pretty shy person, and it was scary. So I kind of took a step back and let fame pass me by.”
Welcoming Grimm back on the show, Simon Cowell said, “You’re a very talented guy. The next three minutes is all about you, so good luck.”
Grimm performed a cover of the Etta James classic “I’d Rather Go Blind” totally knocking out the judges, and bringing the audience to their feet.
