“I married a good one,” gushes the singer. “She has the best personality and the sweetest heart. So I got lucky.”

The 35-year-old singer married Bushnell back in October, which was brought to life in the Lane’s “Big, Big Plans” music video. The romantic wedding video shows a few intimate moments from their big day, including the first time Lane turns around and sees Bushnell in her wedding dress.

In addition to the wedding footage, Lane posted a video of his proposal to Bushnell back in June, which involved playing her the brand-new song he wrote for her.

“It just so happened to be Father’s Day. I asked her dad, I said, ‘look I would never want to take away from your special day’ and he said ‘you know what, I would love for you to do it. It would make this day even better,'” says the singer of the proposal. “Her parents were very excited.”

The singer popped the question in the backyard of Bushnell’s family home in Oregon and they wasted no time in tying the knot, but Lane admits he stayed out of the wedding planning process and left it up to his bride.

“Lauren did a tonne herself. And I kind of just stayed on the golf course,” he continues.

And in the future, Lane reveals expanding their family is definitely a part of their “Big, Big Plans”, telling Bustamante, “At the end of the day we both want kids. We just bought a home that we can grow into.”

He adds: “For right now we don’t know when that will be — we’re just enjoying practising.”

Despite having over 65 million streams on the romantic track, Lane admits he initially didn’t plan on releasing it.

“This song’s off to a really good start and I’m very excited about it,” he says. “I had no intentions on ‘A’ releasing it and ‘B’, I had no idea it would end up being a single.”
