Alexander Ludwig Used The Rock’s Workout To Get In Shape For ‘Bad Boys For Life’

When Alexander Ludwig got the role in “Bad Boys For Life”, he knew he would have to get jacked.

Joining Will Smith and Martin Lawrence was a big role for Ludwig, who previously starred in “Vikings” and even further back, “Race To Witch Mountain”, which also featured Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The connection came in handy as Ludwig emailed the star for some workout tips despite not seeing Johnson for 15 years.

“If there is anyone to ask about working out or getting big quick [Johnson] is the right person to ask,” Ludwig said.

Johnson responded to that email with an entire workout plan.

“For one of the busiest guys, if not the busiest guy, in Hollywood, how tremendous of him [to do that],” he added.

Ludwig now swears by the workout but admits “it all went out the window now.”

“I really wanted to do right by him and that character and I knew the only way this joke was really going to work is if I was massive. Because the bigger he was or the more capable of being a beast in the field he was, the funnier it was that he was in the van,” Ludwig added while talking about his tech genius character to Variety.
