On Global’s “The Late Show” on Monday, Colbert discussed the news that Harry and Meghan Markle are officially giving up their royal titles and duties, which the host took to mean there’s a new job opening for Duke of Sussex.
“Maybe a Megxit means a Colb-entrance,” he said, before turning directly to the camera.
“I’m a fast learner, I’m highly motivated, I can wave backwards, and I’ve never met Jeffrey Epstein,” Colbert joked.

That said, despite Harry giving up the title of His Royal Highness, he will continue to be Duke of Sussex going forward, so Colbert may have to stick to late-night TV hosting.
“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
