Brad Paisley and Addie Pratt shocked fans at the St. Jude Country Cares songwriters concert with a surprise duet.
The pair sang “Alive Right Now”, which was co-written by Kelley Lovelace, Paisley’s longtime collaborator.
“When I sing the words, ‘It’s great to be alive right now,’ that’s one thing. But hearing them from you?” he said to Pratt on stage. “She said it in a way that I can’t say it.”
The positive lyrics are perfect for the annual benefit, “It’s great to be alive right now / By the grace of God somehow / No one knows how long a time / But guess what, you’re alive right now.”

@BradPaisley, @thealabamaband's Randy Owen and @brettyoungmusic were joined on stage by patient Addie last night during the final evening of the 31st annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Seminar. We are inspired by their talent and their dedication to raising funds and awareness for St. Jude.
Paisley has long been a supporter of St. Jude Hospital, in fact, in 2018 he was honoured with the Angels Among Us Award given to a country artist who goes above and beyond for St. Jude. Lady Antebellum were given the honour in 2020.
Pratt was a cancer patient at St. Jude just a few years ago.
