An animated parody series told from the perspective of the young Prince George is headed to HBO Max.
Based on the viral Instagram account created by Gary Janetti, the series is a satire of the British royal family as seen through the eyes of 6-year-old Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton. “The Prince” will feature the future King of England’s life through his own eyes and point of view as he navigates the halls of Buckingham Palace, school and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved pet corgis.
Janetti will voice Prince George in the series alongside a cast that includes Orlando Bloom as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch as Kate Middleton, Tom Hollander as both Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Alan Cumming as George’s butler Owen, Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth II, and Iwan Rheon as Prince William. His siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will also feature in the series along with his dad, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
“I’m thrilled to be working at HBO Max and bringing them yet another series about a family ruthlessly fighting for the throne,” Janetti said in a statement.
