Zayn Malik made a generous donation this week to a five-year-old girl in need of life-saving cancer treatment.
Helen Robinson, from Burnley, England, explained on a GoFundMe page how her daughter Caitlin had been diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma in April 2019.
“Since then she has undergone treatment, several rounds of chemotherapy and MIBG therapy, none of them has worked. I need to raise money to get my daughter abroad to Barcelona for life-saving treatment, which is not available in the U.K. on NHS please please help save my daughter.”
Despite not leaving a comment, Malik, who is from the city of Bradford, which isn’t far from Burnley, left his full name alongside a donation of around C$17,105 (£10,000).
This means Robinson has now raised $23,300 of a $256,690 target.
Caitlin’s mom told LancsLive of the donation: “I woke up this morning to see my baby and I thought I might as well check the page as we were £10 away from £2,000.”
“And then I checked it was more than £12,000; I just could not believe what I was seeing. I want to thank Zayn Malik so much but I don’t know how to get hold of him. I am so grateful to him.”
