Whoopi Goldberg is going back where no one has gone before.

On Wednesday’s “The View”, Sir Patrick Stewart appeared to promote his new series “Star Trek: Picard”, but he had another mission in mind.

“I’m here with a formal invitation. And it’s for you, Whoopi,” he said. “Alex Kurtzman, who is the senior executive producer of ‘Star Trek: Picard’, and all of his colleagues — of which I am one — want to invite you into the second season.”

The audience and other “View” co-hosts all immediately went wild as Goldberg appeared shocked, giving Stewart a hug and telling him, “Yes.”

“That’s great, Whoopi. She has to get rid of that hair on her head though,” Joy Behar joked, referencing Goldberg’s current hairstyle for the new TV adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand. “Boy, the jobs are coming to you now, huh? So many offers she’s getting now.”

Goldberg and Stewart starred together on “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, as well as the spin-off films “Star Trek: Generations” and “Star Trek: Nemesis”.

“This was one of the great experiences of my career,” she said of working on the series. “I had the best, best, best time.”

Stewart replied, “It was wonderful having you, and we cannot wait to have you with us again one more time.”

“Star Trek: Picard” premieres Jan. 23.
