Molly Ringwald is bonding with an avocado in a new Super Bowl commercial teaser.
Ringwald, 51, starred in this year’s Game Day ad by Avocados from Mexico. In the video, the “Riverdale” actress is spotted in the backseat of a car next to a neck-pillow-wearing avocado.

Ringwald is actually a big fan of the product and was surprised to learn the company had an interest in booking her Super Bowl ad debut. She had a long conversation with a friend over avocado toast, and shortly after received an invitation from Avocados from Mexico.
“We truly had a 20-minute conversation about avocados and how much I like them, do you kids like them,” Ringwald said, per Variety. “It was just one of those weird, long conversations.”

“I got on a plane to go back to New York and I got an email saying I was being offered an Avocados from Mexico commercial,” she continued. “It felt like the universe was talking to me.”
The complete ad will air on Feb. 2.
