Colin Farrell has high expectations for “The Batman”.

Farrell plays the Penguin in Matt Reeves’ new take on the Dark Knight. Farrell, 43, is infatuated with “The Batman” script he has called “gorgeous” despite his children’s reservations.

‘It’s all very hush-hush, but it’s a really beautiful script that he wrote and he has a real love for it, Matt,” Farrell said. “So, we’re in the process of finishing designing the aesthetic of the character.”

Farrell may be excited to play the Penguin but his children would like to see him as the hero for once.

“My kids are tired of me playing a villain,” Farrell told Kimmel on Tuesday. “They’re kind of embarrassed by it.”

“The Batman” stars Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Zoe Kravitz, Peter Sarsgaard, and Andy Serkis, among others. It premieres June 25, 2021.
