Robert Downey Jr.’s time as Iron Man has come to an end. After 11 years with the character, Downey Jr. bid farewell to Tony Stark in “Avengers: Endgame”, much to the dismay of fans. But it’s his seven-year-old son Exton who is taking pity on his dad and reviving his love of the Marvel superhero.
“He was into me, then he got into Nick Fury and then it was all about Black Panther, and now he’s taken pity on me and is playing with my figurines again,” Downey Jr., 54, jokes during his appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” on Friday.
Despite being linked to the character since 2008, the actor says his time in the MCU went by “just like that.”
Exton is the actor’s son with wife Susan, with whom he also shares a daughter, Avri, 5. Downey Jr. also has a 26-year-old son named Indio from his marriage to his first wife, Deborah Falconer.
